Piedmont Lithium – American Mineral Matters

The Carolina Tin Spodumene Belt, once the home of the majority of lithium produced for the western world, is poised to play a pivotal role in powering a US clean energy economy. As chronicled in this recent WSJ story, at Piedmont Lithium we’re working on building a uniquely American source for lithium hydroxide from spodumene ore to help power a US electric vehicle supply chain from our location in North Carolina. New DOE Secretary Jennifer Granholm is holding a special briefing today to emphasize the importance of Building America’s Energy Future, where she will be discussing the EV Transition, American Jobs and Strengthening our Industrial Base.
We’re humbled to be featured in this story by the WSJ, and thank you for your support of Piedmont Lithium. We continue to work to bring new energy to life.
Appreciate the opportunity for our President and CEO, Keith Phillips, to share our story and talk about the electrification of transportation with Liz Claman on Fox Business News Tuesday. There is lots of momentum building around the creation of a U.S. supply chain and infrastructure for electric vehicles. Also a great session on Tuesday with new DOE Secretary Jennifer Granholm discussing this same subject. Combined with recent Executive Orders from President Biden, the environment is positively electric! Working to do our part at Piedmont Lithium.
Thank you for you continued interest in Piedmont Lithium.
