Nevada Clean appoints Sever as COO
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER APPOINTED AND A FINANCIAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBER ADDED
James Sever, PEng,.’s president and director, has accepted the additional appointment of chief operating officer. NCM has also added Dr. William Pfaffenberger, PhD, to the financial advisory committee.
Mr. Sever has accepted the position of chief operating officer of the company to oversee and direct the technical development and designing stages of the Tami Mosi magnesium project. This appointment is in addition to his duties as president and director for the company.
As announced Sept. 23, 2015, Mr. Sever is currently providing technical assistance on ScanMag AS’s materials testing program for its magnesium project in Glomfjord, Norway. He is also overseeing the building of the bench-scale pilot furnace which is expected to demonstrate proof of concept for the Tami Mosi project, as announced Oct. 6, 2015. A professional engineer with an MS in metallurgical engineering and an MBA, Mr. Sever has over 40 years of experience in non-ferrous metals, chemical, industrial and operational management. He is president of Alpha Omega Engineering Inc. of Spokane, Wash., a private consulting company, providing international consultation on light metals production and use. His extensive career includes being employed for 10 years by Alcoa at Northwest Alloys Inc. as technical operations manager for the Addy magnesium plant located near Spokane, Wash.
Dr. Pfaffenberger, a former director of the company, has accepted a position on the financial advisory committee to assist with the Tami Mosi magnesium project. He is currently president of Saint Jean Carbon Inc., a director of Cancana Resources Inc. and has served as director for other public companies. Now retired, he worked 38 years as a mathematics professor for the mathematics and statistics department at the University of Victoria. As chair of his department, he served as a member of the board of governors. Additionally, Dr. Pfaffenberger served as chair of the board of pension trustees for 11 years overseeing a fund of over $400-million. He is also president of a private minerals company, Fundamental Resources Corp.
