We are excited to share recent developments at Century Lithium Corp., highlighting our continued progress at the Angel Island lithium project (the Project). Since the completion of a Feasibility Study on Angel Island earlier this year, the Company has continued to focus on critical steps for the Project’s development. The center of attention has been on process optimization to drive reductions in the Project’s estimated capital and operating costs, environmental studies and permitting, as well as Project funding.
“The State of Nevada has expressed the desire to play a critical role in the clean energy transition, specifically through Nevada’s Lithium Loop initiative focusing on local resources to products to recycling. We are working with Century’s resources and technology to position us at the forefront of this effort” said Bill Willoughby, President, and CEO of Century Lithium.
Process Optimization and Engineering Success
Our Lithium Extraction Facility (Pilot Plant) in Amargosa Valley, Nevada, USA, continues to achieve important milestones. We have successfully produced battery-quality Li2CO3 samples for evaluation by domestic end-users, demonstrating Angel Island’s capability as an end-to-end process for taking lithium (Li) claystone to a battery-quality product.
Environmental and Permitting Progress
We have completed our draft hydrologic model and Plan of Operations, marking significant steps in our permitting process. Our team has also identified potential alternative locations for water supply closer to the Project and are working within our existing water rights permit to optimize our resource usage.
Strategic Development
We are actively engaging with potential strategic partners and end-users for product testing, while also pursuing government funding opportunities through the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Department of Defense. The Project’s ability to produce surplus sodium hydroxide continues to position us favorably for low net production costs of Li2CO3.
We appreciate your ongoing support as we work towards becoming a key player in Nevada’s Lithium Loop initiative and the domestic battery-grade lithium supply chain. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at +1 604 764 1851.
