GMV Minerals: A Hat Full Of Gold
Discovered:
A Hat Full
Of Gold
GMV Minerals (GMV.V; GMVMF) knew they were getting a sizeable gold resource when they scooped up the Mexican Hat deposit at the bottom of the market.
The good news: It looks like there’s more gold outside the “hat”…and the drills are about to find out how much.
It was the first place you’d look for a gold discovery — a massive hill, shaped like a sombrero, sticking out like a sore thumb from the surrounding plains of southwest Arizona.
And so it was: The original explorers, including Placer Dome and Santa Fe Pacific, plied the hill with thousands of feet of drilling. And they found hundreds of thousands of ounces of gold resource.
But they didn’t venture very far from the “Mexican Hat” discovery. In fact, theycouldn’t — the surrounding land was held by a mish-mash of individual claim owners. And those owners weren’t selling.
It took a devastating gold bear market to make the Mexican Hat, as well as the surrounding claims, available for the first time.
And that’s when a group of experienced explorers was able to scoop up this prized property.
They knew there was a sizeable gold resource on the land — as much as a half million ounces of gold located beneath and around the unusual hat-shaped hill.
But once they got onto the property, they discovered that every gold zone was still open along strike and to depth.
To test it out, they cut some trenches 370 meters along strike…and hit more gold on the surface.
Perhaps most important: Over 700 soil samples up to a kilometer away along strike from the Mexican Hat discovery are showing very similar mineralization.
Now It’s Getting Exciting…
We’ve had some huge successes in Gold Newsletter so far this year. But the market has yet to see a big new gold discovery.
GMV Minerals could be it.
You see, the story is really getting exciting now. Consider the facts:
- The previous drilling at Mexican Hat had already outlined 531,000 ounces of gold in an inferred resource at an average grade of 0.70 g/t.
- GMV recently completed metallurgical tests on samples of the ore. The result: An average of over 96% gold recoveries — exceptionally good results that show the potential for a very low-cost mining operation.
- The company quickly set about cutting trenches up to 370 meters along strike of the previously identified mineralization. The result: Surface gold was confirmed.
- Not content with those results, they began collecting soil samples up to a full kilometer along strike. The result: Although assays are still pending, the soil samples show very similar “hematized” rock that has carried all the gold in the area.
- And now they’re about to make big news: GMV is launching a 15-hole drill program designed to extend the mineralization along strike and to depth.
Results are imminent. And any indication that this large-scale resource is expanding is likely to have a dramatic impact on GMV’s relatively tiny market value.
My good friend Eric Coffin was the first to identify the potential of GMV Minerals and its Mexican Hat project.
He’s prepared an extensive report on this exciting opportunity, and I strongly suggest you take a look at it.
Once you do, you’ll see why I strongly recommended GMV to my Gold Newsletter readers…and why I bought a big stock position myself.
You can read Eric’s report on GMV here.
I urge you to read it, right now. Because the drills are about to turn and — as you’re about to see — GMV could be the first big discovery of this new gold bull market.
All the best,
