RE-DOMICILING CONTINUES TO MAKE PROGRESS
The re-domiciling of Piedmont Lithium to the U.S. moved one step closer as the Supreme Court of Western Australia approved the dispatch of the Scheme Booklet. Piedmont’s directors unanimously recommend that shareholders vote in favor of the scheme. The scheme is also supported by an independent expert concluding that it is in the best interest of shareholders. The next step in the process is the convening of a meeting of shareholders to consider the Scheme and approve if seen fit.
Just a few of the reasons cited to support the scheme include:
– Alignment of corporate structure with physical location of assets and management team to strengthen operational control and daily business decision making
– Inclusion in market indexes like the Russell 2000 and S&P Total Market, etc., which increases market exposure and visibility
– Access to a broader range of investors, investment funds and sources of capital to fund future growth
– Streamlines the regulatory process which impacts operational ramp-up and reduces costs
