Cullinan Metals Corp. is a Canadian mining and exploration company focused on high quality copper and gold assets in Europe. The company’s Borba 2 property, consists of four projects with several advanced mineral occurrences and past producing copper and gold mines. The concession covers an area of 328.5 square km in a mining friendly area in Portugal. All the projects are off main roads and highways with excellent infrastructure.
LARGE DISTRICT COPPER EXPLORATION
The Borba 2 exploration permit consists of four projects and is located 160 km east by road from Lisbon and is approximately 70 Km east of Évora, the district capital. The recognized potential of this sector to host precious-metal and base metal mineralization is enhanced by the presence of abundant Cu and/or Au mineral occurrences in shear zones and in epithermal systems associated with intra-Ordovician volcanism.
EXPLORATION PLANS
Previous exploration in the general area has included ground exploration techniques, including mapping, stream, soil and rock geochemistry, ground magnetics, trenching and limited drilling.
New exploration will utilize technologies not previously available to identify and expand known mineralization including magnetics, radiometric surveys, sampling and additional drilling.
