IAN HARRIS JOINS BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF PEZM GOLD
Effective immediately, Ian Harris has been appointed as a director of Pezm Gold Inc. Mr. Harris is a senior mining executive with over 20 years experience in leading worldwide mining projects. He has mining and management experience in over 20 countries, with a wide range of mining methods, commodities, project phases and sizes, successfully advancing projects in some of the most challenging environments. Mr. Harris has a proven ability to pinpoint and drive improvement by combining leadership and team building with strong financial and production modelling knowledge. He is bilingual in Spanish and English. He was chief executive officer of AMK Mining Company (first private mining company in Saudi Arabia) and senior vice-president and country manager of Corriente Resources Inc. in Ecuador, and was directly involved in the operations and negotiations that led to the sale of Corriente for $690-million.
Mr. Harris fills the vacancy created by Hubert Mockler, who has resigned his role with the company. The board of directors thanks Mr. Mockler for his 17 years of service to the company. In connection with Mr. Mockler’s resignation, Arness Cordick, the chief financial officer of the company, has been appointed as interim chief executive officer.
